Many youtube videos can no longer be played.
youtube .com/html5 shows H.264 and MSE & H.264 are not supported.

I'm writing just now using Chromium beta 71.0.3578.75 build using XCode 8.3.3 running in a OS X 10.11 virtual machine.

Thanks. Unfortunately the problem persists. 70.0.3538.102 and 70.0.3538.110 can't be startet
on 10.11. I know 10.11 is legacy since Sept respectivly 10.14 now, but having a recent browser can help
to extend the time window for migration (upgrading the OS every year is not user friendly / small office
friendly but that is an another story).

Seems to be the kSecAttrKeyTypeECSECPrimeRandom instead of kSecAttrKeyTypeEC problem as mentioned in the bug report "bugs chromium org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=841769" . Thank you!

My Apple developer certificate is expired and sincerely I can't afford renew fee (99,00€) for just building Chromium. I don't know if a fundraising campaign could have success.
Check SHA1 from Sourceforge site, now I can't give you more warranty, sorry.

This is absolutely destroying my CPU. Tabs constantly maxing out 100% while just sitting in the background. Only Adblock and FreeSMUG Chromium updater extension loaded.

Thank you for these instructions, really helpful!! Currently, I'm using a desktop app call Acethinker iPhone screen recorder that mirrors my iPhone screen to the computer and use its screen recording function to make videos. It's not that direct, but it works pretty well.

This is an unmodified build from Chromium source.
I can't guarantee that this has not some Chrome privacy issue.

Like the Stackoverflow post you link to says, you need to get the 10.6.8 SDK off an earlier Xcode version and move it into your development Xcode tree. They suggest getting the SDK from Xcode 4.1, but Xcode 4.3 had the 10.6.8 SDK as well - it depends on what you can find. Then you have to set your include and library search paths manually for the project.

(Apple could make this easier, but choose not to. They're worse than Microsoft this way, especially since they went to annual OS upgrades. It must be a money winner given Microsoft following that path with Windows 8+. I'll probably have to switch to Linux as my main OS in the near future.)

If Google can get Chrome to build for 10.6.8, you should be able to get Chromium to build as well. It's just fiddly, that's all. But then you can go work for Google! :)
